If you have a question that isn't answered on this page (or you would just prefer to speak to someone), please do contact me.
It's really important that you feel comfortable working with me, so I'm happy to discuss any concerns or questions you may have about counselling.
Counselling sessions cost £70 each 50 minute session.
You can pay when booking (through stripe) or you can book directly with me and pay via bank transfer.
I offer both 50 minute and 90 minute sessions.
Sessions typically last 50 minutes, but it's best to give yourself at least an hour. Ideally, if you can it's be best to give yourself 5-10 minutes each side of the appointment so you have time to gather your thoughts and a bit of time to transition from one task to the next.
Now! - in all seriousness, - you are worth focusing on and giving time to yourself here and now. This way you can start building the life that you love straight away. You are not wasting my time, and you absolutely don't need to wait until things are worse or so painful that you can't tolerate it any more. Starting now is the best thing you can do for yourself.
Everyone is different, so it can be hard to say straight away how many sessions you will need or want. We will agree in our first session how many you would like and can review this throughout.
I recommend meeting weekly to start with, but we will find what works for you as an individual. I work both short and long term, and can talk this through with you when we make an appointment.
Starting counselling can feel like big step and sometimes it can help to know what to expect from the first time we speak.
The first time we meet can be used to get to know each other a little better and to find out if we are both comfortable working together. We can use this time to decide if I am the right counsellor for you.
I like to learn a bit about you and what led you to counselling. This is so that I can start to get an understanding of what you hope to gain from the sessions. Together we can decide what you would like to focus on and how many (if any) more sessions you would like. At no point are you under any obligation to arrange more sessions.
If we decide to work together I will send you a counselling agreement which outlines what we can expect from each other and the practical details of counselling including confidentiality and cancellations.
